K-pop, genre of music that have became worldwide

K-pop (Korean pop) - is a genre of music that've became really popular nowdays. As the name implies K-pop comes from South Korea, it's basically pop music but it's defienietly differend from what we are accustom to. It's mostly mixture of rapping, singing and dancing.
Basic facts:
*In South Korea if you want to become succesfull star/singer, you have to apply for casting in an entertainment company( even if you are not nationaly korean but for example Chinese you still can participate in casting). If you passed it and signed contract, then congratulations you have become a Trainee! Becoming trainee means you will spend next few years on hard training, this includes dancing, rapping and singing lessons, on noncommon case, you will train for only a year or two but it's extremely rare.
*When the training is finished you have a chance to Debut in a new group. It's common practice in Entertainment Companies , it's more profitable to debut a group than solo singer, so if you wanted to have solo career you must first be succesfull in your group.
*Artists from grups are collaquially reffered to as "Idols", and they usually debut in one sex groups (mixed groups are exceptional) . Every group has their concept, like hip-hop, cute, girl-crush, rock, latino ect. Companies are hiring music producers and choreographers, their job is to make songs for albums and unique choreographies for definied group performances. Sometimes companies gives members of the group oppourtunity to make their own songs for album.
* After debut and succesful promotion, k-pop groups are preapered by company for "comeback", baiscally it's another album, sometimes new concept and choreography. Groups usually have comebacks every year or even two times a year. It may be tiring but it's their job.
* Live Performances of k-pop groups are stunning and really impressive, thier choreographies are hard, and they have to dance and sing at the same time!
Also the MV's (music video) are beautifully made, they are really creative and aesthetic, sometimes they tell a story and have hidden meaning in them. Some of them are kinda wierd but In general they are really enjoyable to watch.
Fun Facts
The most succesfull group at the moment is BTS, they've been nominated in Billboard Music awards and won "Top Social Artist" Two times in a row, They were first ever k-pop group to be nominated in Billboard and Grammys! They are compared to famous band The Beatles because of their massive succes and worldwide fandom. They are performing on biggest statiums and Their concerts are solding out in merely 20-30 minutes.
Normally Idol groups has 6 to 9 (even 12) members, but NCT has 21 and it's sill going up, NCT is an innovative system, where the number of members is infinite. NCT is divided into subunits like NCT Dream (for the youngests members until they pass age 21), NCT 127 (they foucus on promoting in Seoul), NCT U ( members are constantly changing each comeback) and WayV (unit witch combaine all chinese members) for now All NCT members are in subunit NCT 2018 but in the future there might be another sub-unit.
Fans are making fun of the number of members saying that "NCT dosen't need to hire a background dancers for performances"
